"As a pediatrician, I believe that if children do not know how to communicate, their intelligence is not fully realized nor appreciated. "Why Stop at High Five?" allows our "little people" to communicate with the rest of the world much earlier, thus avoiding the common frustrations associated with a small child."

-Gosia Nowak, MD

"We love your books. They're opening up a whole new world for our 18 month old daughter, as well as my husband and myself. Great quality, and a great choice of signs. Less frustration and more fun! Thank you."

-Wendi and Mark Stroudsburg, parents

The lack of communication leads to misunderstanding, which causes frustration and ultimately negative behavior. Why would this be different between a parent and child?

A child develops motor skills in their hands long before the motor skills required for speech are developed. An infant child understands the word associated with the desire, but lacks the ability to express the desire through adult speech. Many children become frustrated and learn to cry as the parent simply guesses what the infant child needs until the temper tantrum subsides.

Soon the child learns to control the parent through a temper tantrum, and this behavior continues even after the child learns to speak.

A child that learns to communicate with the parent through simple signs is able to "tell" the parent exactly what is desired. The temper tantrum is not a learned reaction.

This series of books shared with a child on a regular basis will open the lines of communication between parent and child.

What better gift could you give your child than the power of communication?

Baby Sign Language Made Easy:

"Why Stop at High Five?"™ was developed to offer an innovative and engaging way to introduce signing to both parent and child. Our 6 book package enables parent and child to visualize sign language through animation. This added dimension allows your child to actually SEE how to create a sign rather than looking at a static image. What better way to open your baby up to the world of signing than to offer "hands-on" interactivity?

"Why Stop at High Five?"™ features a wide variety of useful day-to-day signs based on American Sign Language (ASL) put together in an easy-to-understand interactive book set designed to teach children how to communicate with their hands.
